Mission

The Inter-American Conference on Social Security (CISS) is a technical and specialized international organization of a permanent nature, and it has the following purpose:

  • Contributing to the development of social security in countries in America, and cooperating with social security institutions and administrations.
  • Issuing statements, passing resolutions and making recommendations regarding social security, as well as promoting their diffusion so they can be included in policies and planning programs.
  • Encouraging cooperation and the exchange of experiences among social security institutions and administrations, as well as with institutions and organizations of a similar nature.
  • Encouraging and guiding the training of human resources in the service of social security.
